Julie Pepper is a talented artist residing in the beautiful Quabbin region of north central Massachusetts. Her original paintings and matted prints are inspired by mythology and world religions, portraying mystical images of goddesses, fairies, wemoon dancers, and mothers with children. Earthy, mysterious, and spiritual, Julie's work is truly unique.
Julie's background includes coursework at the Otis Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles, California and the San Francisco Art Institute. She has also attended classes in wholistic medicine at the School of Phytotherapy in Sussex, England. She incorporates her wholistic outlook by creating her pieces with non-toxic paints.
Originally from Hubbardston, the artist has lived in the area for 32 years. She especially enjoys the natural setting, people, and "freedom" of the Quabbin region.
In addition to the North Quabbin Woods Visitor Center and Local Artisan Gift Shop, Julie's work is featured at the GreenTrees, Silverhawk, and Lizzytish galleries. Ten percent of her sales after taxes are donated to the Pine Ridge Reservation.
